Buick Regal Turbo Day 3

Day 3 – Easter With The Family

So with my first two days, located here and here, in the books with my Buick Regal Turbo loaner vehicle I finally get a drive day where I don’t have to work I can just enjoy the car.  I awoke very happy to be spending Easter with my family and couldn’t wait to get my little buddy.  To let you in behind the curtain I am a separated father and I get my son two nights a week Sunday through Tuesday.  So Sundays are always a favorite of mine.  Needless to say I couldn’t wait to see his face when daddy’s usual car was now “transformed” into a new car.  What would his reaction be?  Let’s find out.

I go and pick up my son at our usual destination and I take him and we make our way to the car and he immediately looks around and says “where’s daddy’s car?”  I started laughing because even he realized I didn’t bring my car.  He is only 2 ½ years old, so to me this was fantastic to watch.  I finally directed him to the Buick and his first words were “wow shiny”.  I thought ya you could put that on a poster and sell some cars for sure.  My son, the advertising marketing genius.  I got him all settled and off we were to pick up my girlfriend and go to her family’s house for Easter.  I thought it would be fun to get his reaction on the hands free phone application.

While I called my girlfriend to give her the heads up we are on our way my son could hear the voice and usually I have her on speakerphone so I am holding a phone in my hands, however this time around I am not holding anything up for him to say “hi” into.  So now he is just yelling into the ceiling thinking that is where the phone is at and I am now laughing hysterically at my son screaming at the ceiling of a car.

I finally arrive at home pick up my girlfriend and head to her family’s house.  This car handles everything you throw at it with a smile on its face and a longing for what’s next.  We stopped off at a few places to pick up some last minute Easter items and of course the trunk was more than capable of handling the work load.  I also got questioned a few times on what type of car it was and people wanting to take a look at it a bit closer.  I was more than welcoming in that manner as I wanted people to break free of the preconceived notion of what a Buick was like and what it will be in the future.

Easter Sunday driving is the best type of driving to be doing in this type of car.  Relaxed, A/C on, radio kicking some jams and life is good.  This car just seems to float among the cars in traffic all the while you can just enjoy and pilot the car to your destination.

Final Days

The final day with the Buick Regal Turbo was just driving around and enjoying it while I can before I had to return it.  I will really miss this car once it is gone because it gave me what a sense of class and dignity can be in a car that I have never experienced before ever.  I have been driven in some nice cars but never once did I do the driving and actually experience firsthand the quality and class that the Buick Regal Turbo exudes in spades.

The Buick Regal Turbo really made me want to get a high paying job just to afford this car so I can drive around in it all day.  To and from work commutes would be a breeze.  No banging on the steering wheel in frustration because all I would have to do is simply feel the leather seats hug me and tell me it will be alright.  This car from front to back makes you want to relax, kick your feet up and go on a vacation and enjoy the drive there.

Sadly, my days with the Buick Regal Turbo have come to an end and I must bid it farewell.  Do a quick clean up and get all my things out the car and say goodbye.  As the car pulls away in my driveway I cried on the inside, I don’t know when I will ever have the opportunity to have such a luxurious yet affordable car be in my possession.  It was such a fantastic time and I have to thank GM for allowing me the chance to have the car.  I did take some videos that I had planned on turning into a commercial or selling video but after looking at the footage I feel it wasn’t as good as I wanted so I scrapped it.
