Minneapolis, MN – January 9, 2012– Bracketron, the leader in mounting solutions and accessories for mobile consumer electronics, announces the new iRoom iDock Touchcode. The original iRoom iDock is the first powered and motorized in-wall mounting solution for iPad and a 2012 International CES Innovations Award winner. The new Touchcode model ensures that your iPad is safely stored in the
docking station and only releases the tablet upon entering a programmable four-digit code. The LED-lit keypad complements the dock’s sleek design while offering added security and convenience. The iRoom iDock Touchcode is ideal for residential and commercial settings such as hotels, offices, showrooms, tradeshows and even private homes. The iRoom iDock Touchcode can be flush-mounted to seamlessly and stylishly integrate the iPad into any room. A patented motorized docking system opens and closes the iDock to securely store the iPad, and the dock also includes both power and composite audio internal connections. The mount’s faceplate comes in piano black and opal white, or can be color customized so that the bezel perfectly matches your unique
interior design. Compatible with both iPad and
iPad 2, the iRoom iDock Touchcode is available through Bracketron, the official and exclusive distributor for iRoom iDock in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
“The new model of the iRoom iDock offers a built-in code panel that provides additional security in an elegant, powered solution that fully integrates the iPad into a room’s design concept and overall function,” said Christian Johnson, Vice President of Marketing at Bracketron.
The iRoom iDock Touchcode features a proximity sensor that causes the code panel to light up when you are nearby. When the correct four digit security code is entered, the iDock switches to the open position allowing you to retrieve your iPad. After ten seconds the iPad door closes again automatically. To reinsert your iPad, the iDock can be opened without a code by using the existing proximity switch. When the iPad is inserted into the dock, you have total control of smart home applications on the device while it is also being charged. The iDock also automatically charges the iPad battery when mounted.
The iRoom iDock Touchcode is integrated flush with the wall using a special flush-mounted socket. The iDock is then connected to the power supply and inserted into the flush-mounted socket. The iDock landscape model is particularly suited for viewing movies, presentations and photos on the iPad.
The original portrait and landscape models of the iRoom iDock as well as the new Touchcode and manual models are now available with POE (Power over Ethernet) and USB connections for easy installation and connectivity.
The continuous development of iPad applications creates new ways and opportunities to integrate iPad products every day. The iRoom iDock Touchcode is an elegant and secure solution for in-wall docking and control in private homes, hotels, hospitals, yachts, restaurants, boardrooms, retail, medical practices and corporate entrances.
